SUMMARY:Petcoke: Tracing Dirty Energy
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an exhibition featuring various members of Deep Time Chicago: Beate Geissler\, Brain Holmes\, Claire Pentecost and Oliver Sann. The exhibition\, organized by the Museum of Contemporary Photography\, deals with the problems caused in Southeast Chicago neighborhoods by a petroleum residue\, petcoke\, which is burned as a low-quality fuel. The exhibition was initially shown at the MoCP and is now being presented directly in the neighborhood where local activists succeeded in kicking the petcoke merchants (the Koch brothers) out of their lucrative and dirty business. \n  \n
